JANUARY RECAP

Image
The last half of this month has kind of been a whirlwind...moving back to school, organizing everything again , getting into the routine of five classes (two of which are 3 hours each). It's probably life making up for the first half of the month in which I was shamefully lazy and did nothing.     Instructions for Flight by Kate I. Foley  🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ( review here , but  👌) The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West  🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ( 💗 I love it SO much ) On the Fence by Kasie West  🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 (TBH this was leaning more towards 3 but relatable guy problems yo) It wasn't a big reading month. I guess I've been going through a slump and nothing really interests me (except YA contemporaries *gasp*). Or else I don't have the energy/attention span to sit down and actually read a book. One of the delights of being a lot more anxious and stressed out at school. Sometimes, okay most of the time, I'd rather watch YouTube or the latest TV series...

HI E'ERBODY

I'm baaaack. WOOP. Actually, I've been done with school for a week but I've still stayed busy with moving out of my apartment for the summer, trying to fit all my stuff back  into my parents' house (impossible. it's impossible. we have like three couches and a bed in our living room), and getting some much-needed R&R.  But never fear, I'm going to be blogging regularly again. I'm super sorry for the rocky blogging since I started college. I still need to figure out a rhythm and a niche that suits my new busier schedule I guess :(  (I'm super happy with how long I was able to blog pretty regularly throughout this semester though) Again, regular posts are coming... this is just a HEY LOOK I'M ALIVE AND IT'S SUMMER. It's a wonder I'm still alive with all the amazing Kpop music videos that have been released one. after. the other. Like um yes, I do enjoy watching Hoshi performing with his serious face thank you.  So, ...

October Recap

Books: I actually got to read a book this month. PRAISE. It felt really good to shirk my responsibilities and read it in like two days straight. Yes, kids, I'm the best role model ever. (assuming any kids read my blog) Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers.   ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪  This book was great. It's set in medieval times and romance was quite a big part of it so it kind of had that "predictable Medieval romance" feel to it (you know what I'm talking about right)...like every Christian medieval-setting romance? But the world, especially the world of the sisters, was built beautifully. And Ismae went through such amazing character growth. It was great watching her learn and mature. I likes it. Movies/TV Shows: Movies and TV shows (especially TV shows) have sustained me through my problems and homework which are basically the same thing. I've actually gotten to watch a fair amount of movies when I go home and shows when I'm at college (it leaves me with ...

Popping In

Hey guys. I'm tired. Like want-fall-on-my-face-and-sleep-for-nine-years tired. It's a problem. Like right now? I'm supposed to be studying for my History midterm that's happening tomorrow. My brain doesn't want to concentrate. Nghhhhh. I need winter break. Also I'm fighting a potential cold/sore throat and it sucks. Okay, okay, that's all I'm going to complain about. (For now). Hopefully, I can come back with some blog posts before finals hit and destroy me. Then winter break will come (PRAISE) and I will make myself blog and do productive things. On a side note, if any of you are looking for a K-drama to watch, go watch Sassy Go Go (aka Cheer Up! but there is no other name than Sassy Go Go in my eyes). It will drown you in bittersweetness. And feels. Just go watch it. There will be no regrets. (Also, thank you Ely for all the awesome recs. How do you get my taste in dramas so well? XD) I better save some things to say about it in ...

So... I didn't want to hiatus this blog but also I'm happy that it came as late as it did. It is now midterms/midterms-ish time and I have a gigantic amount of work to do. I barely can find time to relax and just do something for the fun of it. To keep my sanity intact and to not have to worry about a second  set of responsibilities, I'm going to give this blog a teeny-tiny little break. Like 2 weeks or 3 weeks at most.  This time shall be filled in school, family, and trying to comment on more of your blogs because I'm so bad at that I'm sorry I forget things all the time.  Love you guys. Stay awesome. I'll be back.

Back to College! (Room Tour)

Image
I got back to college for my second semester on Sunday evening. Today was my first day of classes. And I thought since I never did my whole "Here's my awesome dorm room" post, I'd do it today. Of course, this time around it was way less stressful and lonely and awful. POSITIVE THINGS. YAY. I've started getting hungry a lot faster again though. I'm having trouble keeping up with my stomach here. **I apologize beforehand for the bad quality of the photos. my book case AKA the center of my life I have a book case! Because my parents are fabulous. And my mom has a thing about stuff absolutely having  to go somewhere specific. Psh. On the top is my hotpot (very useful for making essentials like instant noodles and hot chocolate), the first letter of my name made out of a book (A gift from a friend. It has honest to goodness pages inside. I'm not sure whether I should cry with sadness or happiness), and a bin with dishes and snacks that I want e...

Back Between Pages

I am now back into my regular reading and posting swing so I'm going to catch you all up on what's been going on in my world. Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay I've already read this! I finished it and decided that I absolutely had to own it. It's a hauntingly beautiful read with the best ending ever. It's about Romeo and Juliet, except, now . In our time. In other words, AWESOMESAUCE.   Amplified by Tara Kelly Cover. Look at that COVER. Please, take your time. ;) Besides that...I, um, vaguely remembered seeing it before and thinking it sounded interesting. It's about a girl joining an all-guy band. And rooming with them. Interesting? I think so. Entice (Need #3) by Carrie Jones I bought Captivate (the second book in the series) a while ago and loved it. The whole pixie thing in our modern world was so interesting, and it totally helped that the main character Zara was completely awesome.  I'm reading a few books right now if "a few" m...
