Aghhhh. I just did my first ever college interview by phone. It was terrifying. And only homeschool students have to participate. Prejudiced I tell you.  This is how I felt the whole time.  But on the outside, I was like Apparently, to my mom who was eavesdropping, my voice was "very sweet". Ew, what, no. I don't want a sweet voice. I want a super-boss, I'm-definitely-all-that voice.  *le sigh* At least I didn't choke on my own mouth water or something equally as embarrassing. I got off with just saying "Um" a little bit. My hand was definitely shaking though.  This is what human contact does to me.  Terrifying isn't it.  I know. I'm glad I didn't look into the mirror. Not only was I hyperventilating (very much), I also turned into a man. Stress does things to me. Maybe I should get it checked.  Hey, I'm an introvert, okay? And do you know what all introverts have? That's right...

As soon as I saw this link-up, I was like "Ooooh, yay. Something where I can use loads of GIFs and photos that make no sense." Welcome to the monthly Teens Can Write Too! blog chain...number eleventh. The prompt is: If you could co-write a book with one author-living or not-who would it be and what would the book be about?  Now I had intended to be all super organized and write most of this before today, complete with cleverness and all that jazz but it was not to be. Okayyyy. Short review tonight.  Julie Charlton is at the breaking point. She's overwhelmed and burned out, and in today's unrelenting society, her kids are, too. When her sister-in-law Susan, a Martha Stewart-in-training, lands the chance to participate in a reality TV series promoting simple living, and needs another family to join her, it seems like the perfect opportunity. The location is an idyllic farm outside an Amish community in Tennessee. Julie, with her two children, joins Susan and her teenage daughter for a summer adventure. I caught some type of flu :( and it's been pretty rough so far. When I hold my hand out, it shakes really bad. Which is so wrong.  Anyways, I'm writing this because it might be a couple days before I can write an interesting, normal-length post. My school starts back up this Monday (I am in denial) and let's face it  after long vacations. So I have an extremely painful headache and I'm gonna finish here. This is a late post. But even though it seems like everybody else timed their "Welcome, 2014" posts perfectly, I'm going to give it a shot anyways...even though it's two days late.  I have never really made New Year's resolutions. Ever. I mean I make short-term lists and goals. It seems more feasible. But this year is it. It's a big year for me. And so I want to make a few promises to myself that I will  accomplish.  1. Get my driver's license (finally. seriously guys you don't want to know how many permits I have in my wallet. it's scary). 2. Write a complete, full-length novel.  3. Spend more time with my little brother.  4. Finally read the classics and absolutely-must-read-before-college books that I've been meaning to read for years.  5. Start exercising more and eating healthier (hahahaha).  6. Read more self-published/indie books (I've had great experiences with the couple I've read).  7. Buy a leat...

So for the New Year, I'm putting up this awesome thingamajigger! I brought in the New Year last night, although I managed to write on my Facebook late. I did the same thing last year. Oh, well. Happy New Year's, everybody!  I have finally decided to join in the Stacking the Shelves meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews .
