HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY TO MOI | Part I

Image
I am three!! Well, not me, but this blog. Life of a Random is THREE YEARS OLD. Already. Gosh time has passed so fast, and I have loved every minute. What does this mean?? It means talking about how this blog was born (pretty much void of flair tbh), cool graphics, and *regal pause* GIVEAWAYS. YEAH. MULTIPLE ONES. No, actually it's super boring. Probably the most boring, not-interesting blog origin story ever. And here it is: One day I woke up. It was a regular day. Nothing really happening. And I made a blog. Please pause to take this in. Tadah! Okaaay well it might have been a little more complex than that but I'm not lying when I say that's the basic story. The longer, extended version is this: I had already been reading a lot of blogs and learning about the community (but not the YA community yet) so I knew about it and thought it was super cool. I also really wanted/needed an outlet for my thoughts that I knew people could read. I wanted...

Airplanes and Sky

Remember when I talked about big travel things that I was going to do this summer? THE TIME. HAS. COME. IT IS HERE. YAY. As you can probably tell, I'm just a little excited. Me and my family are headed to Taiwan this summer for my uncle's wedding and since plane trips aren't really a regular thing for us, it'll be awesome.  If you know me even a little bit, you know that I love  traveling and gosh I'm just so excited to be able to be in and see another culture for a little while. *happy dance* Another reason I'm writing this is to tell you about how I get ready for major trips and whatever little tips I use to make traveling easier. Maybe they'll help you in a future trip. ^^ Any trip needs music, but especially one where there are multiple long layovers and a hugely long flight over the Pacific Ocean. I've been updating the music on my phone (music helps me sleep so much better too), which is fun and boring at the sa...

September Recap

Image
Yo. Here's this month's GIF: Books: I...haven't really read non-school books this month. Specifically, the only book I've read this month is White People, Indians, and Highlanders  and it was so. tedious. I haven't read such a dry book in a long time. I really want to get back into reading at least a little bit every day but I've been super super busy for the past couple weeks and will continue to be so for at least the remainder of this week and all of next. Relaxation is needed. BUT, I have some good news. I've started reading Compulsion and I'll try to keep reading it steadily (I have some time before one of my morning classes because I ride the shuttle and get there early). So far, it's been pretty good. Nothing to fangirl about, but then I'm not very far in. Music: Got7 dropped a MV out of nowhere  and I freaked out and I love it oh my gosh Jackson is perfect. Has his voice actually gotten lower? Asian puberty con...
