The Milk Tea Book Tag

Image
Tansie  @Totally Tansie tagged me for this ages ago (something like September last year) and I have horrible memory please forgive my forgetfulness. I'm sorryyyyyy. *grins winningly* Anyways, thank you so much girl you da bomb. (This whole post is kind of ironic though as I don't like tea at all. Oh well.) Tea: the foundation of your reading life I would say either the Little House on the Prairie series or Marguerite Henry horse books. I know that I've always loved to read but I can't remember what I read when I was super little. I loved imagining Laura's adventures and constant traveling. And I loved horses. A lot.  Milk: a rich, smooth book I agree that Cruel Beauty was amazing (everybody should read it imo), but another book that I think fits this spot is The Coldest Girl in Coldtown . No... I wouldn't describe it maybe as the smoothest book. But it was rich and the language was beautiful and raw. It wasn't a story about vam...

The Extraordinary Means Blog Tag

Image
I'm popping in to do a quick tag that Lily from Lily's Notes in the Margins said allll  her readers could do. So I'm doing it. BEHOLD, the Extraordinary Means Blog Tag. 1. I would give up the internet for a month for a signed first edition of this book. *chokes* WHAT. Did those words just come out of your mouth? Disclaimer: Just because I'm doing this tag doesn't mean I would ever  willingly go without internet for a month. Ever. But, IF this were to happen, I would want a Pride and Prejudice copy.  2. I would give up pizza for a year if it meant I could sit next to this author on a long plane ride. (I don't think the people who made this tag understand my life. Or pizza for that matter.) Susan Dennard, the author of the Something Strange and Deadly series, is seriously hilarious on Twitter. Not that that even makes this situation realistic because I don't talk to people. It's dangerous. I've heard it causes stress and pain.   3. I would ...

Tags for the Win

I got tagged two times last month by Lizzie from Lizzie the Sarcastic Blonde . Thanks so much Lizzie! It's been a while since I was tagged. :) You guys should go check out her blog now . I'm gonna be doing both tags in this post to keep it nice and simple. :) book tag 1. Do you have a specific place for reading? Not really... I mean I do have preferred spots though. Like at college I love reading while I'm sitting on my bean bag or at home I like reading flopped across my bed or leaned against a bedroom wall. Call me Classy. 2. Bookmark or random piece of paper? A random piece of paper? Ha, I'm lucky if I can even hold on to one of those. I've used my cellphone multiple times, which resulted in me thinking I lost my phone. *le sigh* I just don't keep track of things very well. 3. Can you just stop anywhere in a book or do you have to finish a chapter? I've never really thought about it, but I guess I can stop anywhere. I'm pretty...

20 Things You May Not Know About Me

Note: I wrote some of this ages  ago, but I'm gonna leave it in because personality. The intro and questions 1 & 2 are the old ones.  *sigh* As I type, I just sat down on my bean bag a few minutes ago and have lots of homework and a soccer game to go to.  I just don't feel like it though.  That's a problem I have a lot. Anywho, if you're wondering what this has to do with this post, well, I'm writing this post to get something done while at the same time relaxing.  And that's why you'll be learning 20 things about me that you may or may not have wanted to know. ;)  1. How tall are you? 5'4" And I'm gonna follow Sophia's lead and tell you that that's approximately 163 cm. In other words, short. #pride 2. Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what? I'm guessing you mean something that most people don't know about me. Huh. OH. I can put my foot behind my head and also I'm pretty good at catching a...

'Bout This Blogger Tag

Image
Since I'm planning on coming back in full force on my blog soon (YOU CANNOT STOP ME), Cait's tag celebrating her new blog website Paper Fury  is a perfect post. But before I start talking all about my blog, go check out Cait's! Seriously. She's awesome.  RULES: Grab the set of ten questions, answer them, and use Cait's button or link back to paperfury.com. You can also add your post to her linky if you want. :) 'Bout This Blogger I feel like I've used this before but I can't contain my swag, guys. 1. Why did you start  blogging? Because I wanted to have a way to express my feelings, I guess, of just whatever. At first, I used my blog to just talk about my life or different things I had opinions on. Just the idea that people were seeing my posts, even if it was just 5 views, was an awesome feeling. Especially since they weren't family members ;) 2. What’s the story behind your blog’s name? The story behind my blog's name...

Alice in Wonderland Tag/Tea Party Blog Tag

Image
Like they always do, the Notebook Sisters have brought us another delicious tag that I had to participate in. Hope you enjoy! And go check out their take on the tag here and the rules and linky thing here (you only have a little over a day to join in :P). The Questions: 1. Just Alice: What book cover(s) has made you super curious? This cover is just so vivid and colorful and unique that it's practically irresistible. LOOK AT IT.  This. *muffled screech* I could look at this all day. The colors are so intense. But, what makes it even more curiosity-inducing is that bubble around the city and the cracked, dry ground outside.  I'll probably mention colors a lot. Those are what catch my eye first, like contrast or blending. And the clock imbedded in the cobblestone (I love cobblestone) is glowing and ugh. No resistance here.  The amazing painted cover coupled with the title just grabbed at me so hard that I bought this one. I was crossin...

The Book Blogger TMI Tag

I was tagged by The Magic Violinist . Well...she tagged everybody. And everybody includes me so I'm grabbing the chance ;) How old are you? 17, I'll turn 18 this month though. What book are you reading? Princess for Hire  by Lindsey Leavitt. What are you wearing? Super comfy pj pants and a maroon long-sleeved shirt. Also a jacket. Because my mom is very frugal and it's cold. OTP? (also known as One True Pairing, or your favorite fictional couple) I don't know if this is normal or not (probably not) but I don't ship too many couples really  hard. Hm...Joy and Indelible Ink, Tris and Four, Cammie and Zach, Scarlet and Wolf, and Clary and Jace. Oops. I think I just contradicted myself. Blogger or Wordpress? I use Blogger and I've never used Wordpress, so I would say Blogger. And as brought up by The Magic Violinist, the comment and subscription system is a bit complicated. Going outside being active or staying in and reading a book? Oh, that...
