Life of a Random

Books: I actually got to read a book this month. PRAISE. It felt really good to shirk my responsibilities and read it in like two days straight. Yes, kids, I'm the best role model ever. (assuming any kids read my blog) Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers.   ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪  This book was great. It's set in medieval times and romance was quite a big part of it so it kind of had that "predictable Medieval romance" feel to it (you know what I'm talking about right)...like every Christian medieval-setting romance? But the world, especially the world of the sisters, was built beautifully. And Ismae went through such amazing character growth. It was great watching her learn and mature. I likes it. I have a hard time coming up with neat titles for my post, thus the weird...thing...I came up with above. It's because there will be marshmallows in this post and it is very foggy outside right now. By the way, why the heck is marshmallow spelled m-a-l-l-o-w instead of m-e-l-l-o-w? It doesn't make sense, I tell you. I guess I'm just going to ramble today. I don't have a pre-written post (Which is a bummer really. Now I have to lower myself to typing for an immediate post. The disgrace.) You probably know, if you've been a follower for a while, that I'm in my last year of high school. I wasn't really prepared for how busy it turned out to be. There have been campus tours, a gazillion college applications, and school. So.. I'm going to be going away to college next year. And I really wish that it wasn't coming so fast. I never watch anything at the movie theater (Okay, slight exaggeration). So I had to wait until Thor: The Dark World appeared in my local RedBox, which is literally a red box. It's about the size of a refrigerator and we have them around lots of fast food restaurants and grocery stores. They are a self-service movie rental machine. Anyways. I watched it. It was awesome. *fans self vigorously* I got reacquainted with the characters, was blown away by the plot, and the ending. Yes, the ending. Was. Beautiful. Here are a few things that I loved about this movie (besides, you know, the whole thing). 1. Darcy. Need I say more? She makes me laugh so hard. It's cold and dreary and rainy today. Which means the only thing I can do is stay inside on my computer (although I do that on sunny days as well). This is random, but I have only read one Sherlock Holmes mystery. I tried to read a whole book of them a while ago, but I lost interest and had to return it to the library. Never to try again. It's the thought that counts. Last night, I watched Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. I had watched it recently but I forgot how much dry humor it had. I laughed a lot! Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law do an awesome job, as do the rest of the cast.  I'm going to be using gifs a lot more often now. They describe things so much more adequately then words. For example, I can demonstrate that I reacted this way to most of the humor on A Game of Shadows... I know.  I don't know why I don't have a concussion.  Also, I will  post (eventually) about making those scarves. I just haven't taken all the d...
