I got feedback for the approximately 1,000 word story beginning I entered in the Go Teen Writers! contest. I didn't make the top twenty (Anastasia Elizabeth K. who I'm pretty sure is Anastasia Elizabeth from Every Stinkin' Page made it! Her blog is so informative about all things writing. HUGE "OOPS" IF THEY'RE NOT THE SAME PERSON ). Boo, but while I am going to take it and use it to improve my writing it was a little bummerish to find out that some of the same parts of my writing haven't improved. Good to know that I can write a killer premise though. ;) I really want to do a lot of learning and improving this year, along with writing a whole novel for once. Hopefully it works out. I wrote a guest review for The Maze Runner (by James Dashner) at Karoline's blog As a Teen Writer , along with Karoline herself and Drew of My Oddly-Shaped Thought Cloud (Some people are just blessed with coming-up-with-good-blog-names genes. I am not one of them.)....

Top Ten Popular Authors I've Never Read

I'm actually a little embarrassed by some of these...because, well, pretty much everybody else has read them. I hate you guys. I am so jealous. Seriously. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted  by The Broke and the Bookish . Basically, lists. I love lists. They put up the Top Tens for several weeks in advance, and they're all book related! 1. J. K. Rowling Yes, I am aware that I'm a failure. Apparently, the Harry Potter books are amazing and I do want to read them. I just haven't gotten around to it.   2. Stephenie Meyer , author of the Twilight series and The Host . I really want to read The Host because I watched the movie and it was awesome. But , I'm a little wary of the Twilight series because of the HUGE amount of negative opinions on it. I plan on trying it out anyways though.           3. John Green *sobs* I'm sorry (My sins are unpardonable). I really want to read The Fault in Our Stars beca...
