Hello from the Abyss known as the Year 2020! I haven't written on this blog in so long that I don't know if I even remember how to blog properly. This has been such a year filled with awful things...the presidential race, the pandemic, plus the yearly entrances of anxiety and depression and all that low mental health bar stuff...that I wanted to take a minute to focus on something else and talk about books. I wasn't tagged for this so feel free to grab questions from here for your own tag post (this tag was created by Ariel Bissett ).  Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish? / Do you have an autumnal book to help transition into the end of the year?     There are several! The norm for me this year is that if I didn't finish reading a book in 1 or 2 days, I didn't end up finishing it at all. I really want to finish reading Serpent & Dove , Rules for Being a Girl , and Steel Tide . Just because I hate taking things off my Goodreads ...

As I write this it is almost ten minutes past one and I'm about to face-plant into my laptop from tiredness. The reason why I'm up so late? Well, I have four Two-Dimensional Art exercises due tomorrow (which I'm gonna add were given yesterday). I also had to take care of a weird credit card charge that hopefully will be resolved now that I've looked into it and cancelled the right things (once again, fingers crossed). I'm going home for the weekend because it's my dad's birthday. I don't usually get a ton of homework done at home...just because I'd rather be spending time with my family. So, one of my goals this week is to get almost all my homework done by early Friday afternoon. Honestly, though, I'm kinda sick and tired of the huge to-do lists, late nights, and early mornings. This is the February recap and as you can tell from this post's title, I've pretty much been existing solely on e-books. I miss going to the real  library with its stuffy, musty smell and running my fingers over the book spines in their tidy rows, but there hasn't been much time this month because of a lot of school-related and weather-related stuff. So ebooks it is! Guys. I'm not going to pass up an opportunity to read. Ever. Here's where I tell you that I haven't read as many books as I did in January and looking back I must have been reading freakishly lots and freakishly fast. I'm still going to babble about the books I've read this month though. You cannot escape. Mwahahaha. How many books did I read in February? 12. Eight YA novels, two adult, and two middle-grade to YA crossovers. Favorite? I'm going to say Dust Girl (by Sarah Zettel) just because I've been reading so much dystopian lately and it was a very unique fantas...

Woop woop! I have finally, lovelies, read Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. Almost everyone but me has read it and raved about it, and I finally get to add my voice to the total chaos. :D This isn't going to be a review. It's just going to be a list of things I like about Shatter Me and things I don't like about Shatter Me.                                     You can thank me later. Really. I don't mind.   Things I Did Like:  1. The writing style was amazing for the most part. The way Mafi portrayed Juliette's partial insanity was amazing. I loved the crossed out sentences, the halting sentence fragments, and even the repetition most of the time.  2. HER POWERS ARE AMAZING. She can legit punch through a steel door, guys. Oh, and she kicked it a little. 3. I love the cover...
