Marshmallow Fog

I have a hard time coming up with neat titles for my post, thus the weird...thing...I came up with above. It's because there will be marshmallows in this post and it is very foggy outside right now.

By the way, why the heck is marshmallow spelled m-a-l-l-o-w instead of m-e-l-l-o-w? It doesn't make sense, I tell you.

I guess I'm just going to ramble today. I don't have a pre-written post (Which is a bummer really. Now I have to lower myself to typing for an immediate post. The disgrace.) You probably know, if you've been a follower for a while, that I'm in my last year of high school. I wasn't really prepared for how busy it turned out to be. There have been campus tours, a gazillion college applications, and school.

So.. I'm going to be going away to college next year. And I really wish that it wasn't coming so fast. But on the other hand, I'm excited for a change. I need change, I think. Here's what I've learned through my many years of awesomeness-- don't try to make time move faster, but don't dig in your heels when it does.

Appreciate the time you're living in now, make good use of it.

Don't be afraid to be you.

When I was a little kid, I was painfully shy (I still am. Shh, don't tell). I didn't talk to strangers at all. I didn't like playing with other kids. But now, even though I'm still very shy, I've learned to talk to other people because they might feel shy too, and to embrace my own style in the way I dress because it doesn't matter what people who don't care about you (or don't know you) think.

Don't be afraid. I had (and have) a million things, tiny things sometimes, that I'm afraid of. Failure, deep water, being laughed at... but I've learned that so many things are possible if you push past your fear. Fear isn't a weakness, it's called not being stupid, but when you move past it, it's called courage.

This is making me hungry.

I'M READING: The Help
MY FAVORITE SONG RIGHT NOW IS: Magnetic  by Jessie J
MY LAST MEAL WAS: Baked fish, spaghetti, and garlic bread (Yum).
ITEM TO MY RIGHT: A map of the state I live in (You wish you knew).

  1. Stick It is awesome :) Also, I loved The Help! Especially loved the fact that they were so loyal when they made the movie.

I'm painfully shy, too! *high fives*

    1. Hurray for all painfully shy people!! *high fives back* Stick It is definitely an awesome movie. It's been ages since I first watched it so I need to watch it again. I love gymnastics movies!

I really liked The Help movie when I watched it too so I'm hoping the book lives up to my expectations :)

  2. Hey, I like your titles :) They make me smile. And no, they're not weird. They're attention-getters lol. I just received a notification that SkylarFinn wrote a post titled Marshmallow Fog. I did a double-take and thought, 'Marshmallow Fog? This I HAVE to check!" So here I am. It's a nice post. I liked it. And you're right, you should just be you. What I've gotten to know about you, I like. And I think you're a really cool person. Good luck with the last year of high school. Onto more Awesomeness for college! Take care.

    1. Your comment made me smile :D Hmm I didn't think about the title being attention-grabbing. I did think though, that it might make a good book title. I told my sister that it made me think of when Flint & Sam dived through jello or something on Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs (if you have no idea what I'm talking about it's cool. I tend to ramble lol).

Hey, takes one to know one. You're pretty awesome yourself! Thanks :) College here I come...
