The Book Blogger TMI Tag
I was tagged by The Magic Violinist. Well...she tagged everybody. And everybody includes me so I'm grabbing the chance ;)
How old are you?
17, I'll turn 18 this month though.
What book are you reading?
Princess for Hire by Lindsey Leavitt.
What are you wearing?
Super comfy pj pants and a maroon long-sleeved shirt. Also a jacket. Because my mom is very frugal and it's cold.
OTP?
(also known as One True Pairing, or your favorite fictional couple)
I don't know if this is normal or not (probably not) but I don't ship too many couples really hard. Hm...Joy and Indelible Ink, Tris and Four, Cammie and Zach, Scarlet and Wolf, and Clary and Jace.
Oops. I think I just contradicted myself.
Blogger or Wordpress?
I use Blogger and I've never used Wordpress, so I would say Blogger. And as brought up by The Magic Violinist, the comment and subscription system is a bit complicated.
Going outside being active or staying in and reading a book?
Oh, that's easy. Staying in and reading a book. :D
What is the last book you read?
Protection for Hire by Camy Tang. It's a Christian mystery/action novel and it was great! I loved the main character's voice and the fact that the author wrote a half-white, half-Asian character. I've never read a book that had that before and it was exciting because I'm half-Asian. One thing I didn't like though was the insta-love.
What is the book you're going to read next?
Dust Girl by Sarah Zettel. Fairies plus the Great Depression = I need to read this right now. Or..after I finish my current book.
e-Books - yes or nor?
I don't mind e-Books at all, in fact they are making up almost all of the books I've read recently. It's convenient, fast, and easy. But I prefer to read a real, physical book. I guess the answer would be yes?
Where do you prefer to read?
My bed, the old recliner in the living room, sitting on the floor leaned against a wall. I can't read in the car though because I get car sick :'( I used to be able to. Ah, the sorrows.
Who is the last person you tweeted?
Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner for the giveaway they're having in celebration of the Fight for the Future book tour they have in the U.S. I don't tweet a lot. Point-- this was four days ago.
Whose blog did you look at last?
Christine's A Bookish Daydreamer. She's throwing a party over there complete with a giveaway for A Mad, Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller. I never win these things so you might have a chance ;) It's international!
Who is your favorite blogger?
I can't choose one. So here are a few...Cait and Mime, Christine, Anastasia Elizabeth, Rachel Coker, and Tansie Gray.
Who is your favorite booktuber?
*bows head shamefully* I don't have any because I don't watch any (perfectly logical). It sounds neat though, maybe I'll check some out.
What do you so when someone tells you reading is boring?
Question their sanity.
Hehe. I raise an eyebrow at them. I think judging thoughts. You know, the usual.
Who is the last author you spoke to?
I don't know any authors personally or on twitter or on anywhere so I haven't spoken to an author. HOW DARE YOU BRING THIS UP. I'm sensitive. Geeze!
Who is the last person you texted?
My dad. He had to pick me up from the college class. The conversation was hilarious. Seriously.
Me: I'm out
Dad: Here [see? we're so talkative]
Me: K
Dad: Ok yo
XD He said "Ok yo". I almost burst out laughing in the hallway.
Who is your all-time favorite book character?
You are a cruel, irrational being. There's no way I can pick just one, so here goes... Zara, Tris, Finley, Oliver, and Emily.
UKYA or USYA?
I read lots of USYA and I can't think of any books right off that have been from the UK.
What is your preferred drink whilst reading?
I don't like to eat or drink when I read. Especially when I'm really into the book. There's no way the foods not going to end up on my lap or clothes or something equally disastrous.
If you hated reading, what would you be doing instead?
Probably spending more time doing artsy and DIY stuff. Improving my painting skills or something.
I'd have more space for different things in my room :D
How many bookshelves/bookcases do you have?
One and it's packed full. Every time I get new books I have to switch some old ones out. It's gotten to the point where I have a couple boxes of books in the attic and many stacks of books all over my room.
If you had the choice to meet all of your favorite book bloggers or all of your favorite authors, which would you pick? You can only pick one.
Wait.
This is hard.
Bloggers probably because (no offense to my favorite authors because I'd love to meet them) there are a lot of things that we have or might have in common. And it'd be neat to hang with and do something fun with some of the people whose blogs I read. As much as an introvert can anyways.
Insta-love: yes or no?
No. Absolutely not.
It's unrealistic. Also, I don't feel like insta-love couples have as deep of a connection or relationship. I get it that he's/she's hot, they like you too, but you may not kiss them a week after you meet them. That's not love. It's physical attraction. You can't love someone who you don't know.
Sorry. Rant over ;)
Favourite author?
I don't have just one, but maybe Cassandra Clare (for this second). Or Veronica Roth.
What is the number-one book on your wishlist?
United We Spy by Ally Carter or Leviathan by Scott Westerfield. No! Wait! Cress by Marissa Meyer. I must have it!
Do you prefer books with female or male protagonists?
Female protagonists, hehe. Though I don't mind male protagonists as long as they're well-written. I really liked The Outcasts by John Flanagan and almost every single character was a guy. I'm amazed that he found a way to write each character so uniquely.
Which is your favourite book-to-film adaption?
I'm not qualified to answer this. No, really I'm not. Either I haven't read the book or I haven't watched the movie (in most cases).
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief for now. I loved the second Percy Jackson movie but I haven't read the book and I liked (and read) Ender's Game but haven't seen the movie yet. *sigh*
What is the last song you listened to?
I think it might have been "Counting Stars" by OneRepublic but I'm not sure.
Which do you enjoy reading more - negative reviews or positive reviews?
It depends. Ranting is fun to read, but the fangirling/fanboying is especially hilarious in positive reviews. Add GIFs and it's perfect, so I'm gonna say positive reviews.
Who are you going to tag?
Tansie from Totally Tansie and whoever else wants to join in :) Put the links to your post in the comments below if you want me to take a look. Let the games begin!

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief was not that great. Sorry. Anywhoooo, this is hilarious and you're awesome. Thanks for tagging me! (And saying that I'm one of your favorite bloggers, hehe)
ReplyDeleteIt was good, okay? I forgot about Hunger Games, you heartless soul (Is that a thing?). I have memory problems, don't judge.
DeleteYou're welcome, dahling :D Yay, I'm awesome! (remember you said that)
