Showing posts with the label resolutions

Hi There || 2016

I have big hopes for this year :) I hope that I'll be more productive and less procrastinatory not only in school things but just in other things that I do because I love them. Like reading and blogging. I hope that I can find a good balance between hanging out with friends and getting over-exhausted by socializing. I hope that I sleep good hours and watch good movies. I hope I don't let stress run my life. I hope I dress up once in a while for no reason. I hope I actually go to the library in my college town once in a while. BUT, I've also made some defined resolutions. After all, what would a new year be without them? 1. Finish all the books I started but put aside. 2. Buy at least one Kpop album.  3. Finish my design website.  4. Go on small adventures.  5. Spend more time with friends.  6. Get my ears pierced.  Simple, pretty short. But I like it. And of course we can't forget my Goodreads Challenge. *grins* I...

How Is 2015 Already Over??

Image
So. Yeah. I don't think I'm ready for this. How is it ALREADY New Year's eve again ? I mean 2015 was a great year, but it's. just this. I'll be 20 in February. Oh my god. Just stop right now. I don't want to be 20. But besides that, I've always liked the end/beginning of the year because it means fresh starts and new resolutions (even though I probably only did half of my 2015 resolutions). Fresh starts are always good and the whole feeling of a new, sparkling "chance" kind of gets me ready to go another year. :) 2015...wasn't the easiest year. I mean, who am I kidding. Being away at college has never gotten out of the difficult, stressful stage that it was in when I started even though it's less  difficult and less  stressful. It probably never will. I think I've learned to accept that being me and being anxious about things literally almost no one else around me is stressed about is okay. There are other people like t...

January | Reading Challenges & Resolutions

Image
Because I already addressed the main topics of this month, I'm just going to be talking about smaller goals that can be finished by the end of January. books to read Since the month is already almost half over, I'm not going to push myself too hard. But I do  want to read the two books below for sure.      Besides both of them counting for my 2015 book challenge, I've wanted to read both for a while and just haven't gotten around to it.  resolutions for the month 1. Create a Goodread's shelf for the books I want to read this year.  2. Set a time to work on blog stuff-- this will be super important to keep up because of school.  3. Write a monthly recap post and continue writing them each month.  things to change I'm not gonna call these resolutions but just things that I want to change in my lifestyle. Last semester was a pretty rough one for me. I ended up with great grades but throughout the semester I didn...

Hello 2015

Image
It's a new year! I've always loved the first day of things, like the first day of school (because there's no homework yet and there are pretty school supplies to organize) and... the first day of the year. So I devote this whole entire post to talking all about my plans for 2015. WAHOO. It wouldn't be a new year if I didn't make a list of resolutions so I decided to make a regular one and use a bookish one I found on Pinterest. :) Take a picture every day for a year.  Try something (big or small) that I've never tried before.  Finish a writing project.  Exercise more (HAHA. But I thought I'd try.) Grow closer to God.  Get straight A's.  Learn how to do more types of art.  (or challenge) A book with more than 500 pages.  A classic romance.  A book that became a movie.  A book published this year.  A book with a number in its title.  A book written by someone under 30.  A book with nonhuman chara...

New Year's Resolutions

This is a late post. But even though it seems like everybody else timed their "Welcome, 2014" posts perfectly, I'm going to give it a shot anyways...even though it's two days late.  I have never really made New Year's resolutions. Ever. I mean I make short-term lists and goals. It seems more feasible. But this year is it. It's a big year for me. And so I want to make a few promises to myself that I will  accomplish.  1. Get my driver's license (finally. seriously guys you don't want to know how many permits I have in my wallet. it's scary). 2. Write a complete, full-length novel.  3. Spend more time with my little brother.  4. Finally read the classics and absolutely-must-read-before-college books that I've been meaning to read for years.  5. Start exercising more and eating healthier (hahahaha).  6. Read more self-published/indie books (I've had great experiences with the couple I've read).  7. Buy a leat...
