August Recap

Image
This month was a pretty eventful month just because I wrapped up my summer class and moved back to college (packing can be pretty time consuming) and all the things. It was pretty jammed together. I have an apartment now guys! I'm so happy. I have the same roommate as I did last year and really she's so chill and easy to live with. And if you want, you can go watch my apartment tour video. No pressure ;) Without further ado... let's get into the recap. (as always, there's tons) N. Flying debuted this May with their song Awesome  and it has a really neat, funky sound.  They're also a band. So that means: lead singer, guitarist, bass guitarist, and drummer. I have to be in a certain mood to play this song but when I am  in that mood it's on repeat.  I don't know why I only found about this song recently because IT. IS. GORGEOUS. The rap parts are amazing (as usual) and the singing parts are equally as amazing (as usual). And um, yo...

July Recap

Image
This month was kind of crazy because of all the school things and the big road trip, thus there weren't as many posts this month and I didn't read as many books. Many good things happened though! I got to see BTS in Chicago . I passed my CLEP exam. I got tanner. ;) And now I'm going to recap July with you. As always there are many songs that I fell in love with this month. It's music. It's gonna happen. This is such a funky, rockin' summer song. And, of course, Big Bang is as crazy and fun as usual. (*cough* T.O.P are you on drugs *cough*) Seventeen just debuted this year in May. THERE ARE SO MANY. I am awful at remembering names. How do I file away 13 names in my brain? (I actually have by now. I was sucked in so fast oh my gosh.) I love this song. Especially the rapping.  So, I don't know how pre-debut this is (a lot, looking at Hansol's face) but, guys, this is pre-debut . Yes, it's Seventeen again. I have no regr...

Top Ten Books of 2014

Image
The great year of 2014 is winding down...and this of course calls for a recap of my favorite books of 2014, through the awesome Top Ten Tuesday linkup courtesy of The Broke and the Bookish . :) It was hard but not as hard as I thought it would be. Drum roll please. :) These are not in any particular order. 1. Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen Honestly, this book had me turning pages SO fast and my emotions didn't know what to do. Even though the premise of trolls and the way the author dealt with story building was fantastic, I think the book's strongest point was in the characters. I was so invested! They were written like all amazing  characters (at least to me), very complexly. 2. Hex Hall trilogy + School Spirits   by Rachel Hawkins         No, I'm not cheating by listing four books for one slot. Nope. ;) The thing is, though, that the whole Hex Hall trilogy and School Spirits (not shown here) are so amazing that I c...

What I've Been Reading

Image
I'm sort of borrowing this idea from Cait ( Notebook Sisters ). On one of her recent posts, she had a little slice of the post that told how many books she read in January (and how many of those were YA and middle grade), which one was her favorite, and which one was her least favorite. What I'm gonna do is recap in more detail and blah, blah, blah.  Besides being neat in general (because I'm awesome like that), it's going to help me remember more stuff about what I've read through the year. I have bad memory, okay? How many books did I read in January? 21! Around three were middle grade (I'm saying around because some of them sort of straddle the line I think), two adult, and the rest were YA. Favorite?  I don't even know. There were so many great ones! But if I had to pick, it would be The Girl in the Steel Corset  by Kady Cross. Least Favorite? Louder Than Words by Laurie Plissner or I Want to Live by Lurlene McDaniel. Favorite Cover(s)? Y...
