All Fall Down by Ally Carter Pages: 320 Published: January 20, 2015 Genre(s): YA, Spy Thriller, Mystery Cover Rating:  ★ ★   (Eh. Not too crazy about this one. Love the type treatment though.) Grace Blakely is absolutely certain of three things:  1. She is not crazy.  2. Her mother was murdered.  3. Someday she is going to find the killer and make him pay. As certain as she is about these facts, nobody else believes her -- so there's no one she can completely trust.  Her past has come back to hunt her . . . and if she doesn't stop it, Grace isn't the only one who will get hurt. Because on Embassy Row, the countries of the world stand like dominoes, and one wrong move can make them all fall down. ~~~ It was really interesting seeing espionage from a different standpoint than the Gallagher Girls and Heist Society series. Those people are pros. They know exactly what they're doing, why they're doing it, and when they're doing it. (I re...

This is the February recap and as you can tell from this post's title, I've pretty much been existing solely on e-books. I miss going to the real  library with its stuffy, musty smell and running my fingers over the book spines in their tidy rows, but there hasn't been much time this month because of a lot of school-related and weather-related stuff. I'm still going to babble about the books I've read this month though. You cannot escape. Mwahahaha. How many books did I read in February? 12. Eight YA novels, two adult, and two middle-grade to YA crossovers. Favorite? I'm going to say Dust Girl (by Sarah Zettel) just because I've been reading so much dystopian lately and it was a very unique fantas...

Welcome to the monthly Teens Can Write Too! blog chain...number eleventh. The prompt is: If you could co-write a book with one author-living or not-who would it be and what would the book be about?  Now I had intended to be all super organized and write most of this before today, complete with cleverness and all that jazz but it was not to be. Also, all the other bloggers so far have considered things like "Would I get along with the author?" and "Would our writing styles mesh?" And I've been all like "Hm. Yes, all very good questions. Why didn't I think of them?"  Obviously it's because I'm extremely awesome.  And prone to not thinking up the important questions.  Okay. So I have been thinking about this question/prompt the whole week. I promise. Vivian Vande Velde was a potential co-author. She has a wicked sense of (sarcastic) humor and she has written lots of books in fantasy or virtual gaming settings, but her main...
